Lemon Citrus lemon

Botanical description:
The lemon is a sempreverde tree and belongs to the Rutacee family. Lemons usually possess a pointed oval shape on one end, and the wrinkled peels have coloration ranging from green to yellow, depending on ripeness.

Sicily

Monachello, Femminello, Interdonato, Limon of Siracusa.

Manufacturing period:
November – June.

Sweet Orange Citrus sinensis

Botanical description:
The Orange is a sempreverde tree and belongs to the Rutacee family.
Orange has a globular shape and slightly flattened at both ends with a diameter of about 6-8 cm, with wrinkled orange skin.

Origin:
Sicily – Calabria

Variety:
Valencia, Ovale, Calabrese, Washington Navel, Belladonna.

November – June.

Bergamot fruits have different shapes, usually rounded. The peel is medium thick, green in colour, and tends to yellow as the degree of ripeness advances.
